aside from a miserably-rainy golf weekend on the istrian peninsula near Trieste, this was my first real visit to the dalmatian coast. split was awesome: an exciting mix of very old-world charm, stunning island surroundings and modern-day euro-party vibes. our speedboat excursion was particularly unforgettable, as was getting my first real taste of croatian wines.
